A 60-year-old fundraiser from Worle climbed three mountains to raise money for Weston Hospicecare.
Jacqui Elmer wanted to test herself physically and mentally by hiking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in memory of her parents who were cared for by the charity before they died.
Jacqui said: “Ben Nevis was completed in horrendous weather conditions – rain, sleet, hail, fog and snow.
“Then we went on to Scafell Pike, where it was 70 degrees – quite a bizarre difference.
“We couldn’t complete Snowdon the same day so we finally got to do it on September 16. It was amazing.
“Raising money for Weston Hospicecare is so important to me. They cared for my mum, Irene Chilcott, and dad, Mervyn Chilcott in their final weeks.
“The care was amazing for my parents and also us as a grieving family.
“I am happy to say I raised £815.”
