A CHILD abductor who held a schoolgirl against her will and assaulted her twice has been jailed for 19 months.Nathan Stocker met his 15-year-old victim at a bus stop - months later she failed to turn up at school or contact her mother. When the child attempted to return to her normal life the 24-year-old, of Jubilee Road, Weston, became violent and told the girl he could kill her with one punch. Stocker admitted one charge of child abduction, one charge of common assault and one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.Rosaleen Collins, prosecuting at Bristol Crown Court, said despite their age gap, the schoolgirl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, left home to stay with Stocker and failed to go to school. When the girl's mum became worried she contacted the police.Stocker became increasingly jealous and domineering then aggressive and violent towards the girl. The girl returned home but days later Stocker became obsessed with the idea she was seeing a boy at school and demanded to see text messages on her mobile.Because he made threats about a schoolboy, the girl met him on Weston seafront where he became very jealous about the text messages. He grabbed her and threw her to the floor, causing her to hit her head on the concrete.Stocker then called his dad to pick them up and insisted the girl went to his home. Ms Collins said: "He became aggressive during the journey and made comments about killing her, saying 'if I can't have her no one else will'. He threatened to punch her and said he could kill her with one punch. The father saw how frightened the girl was but could not reason with his son. There was no mistaking she wanted to go home."Nadeem Aullybocus, defending, said Stoker became 'mentally scarred' following a road accident in November for which he was charged with dangerous driving and given a 28-week suspended prison sentence. Stoker broke a leg in several places and while he was housebound he discovered his girlfriend had cheated on him. "He found it difficult to trust any other person," said Mr Aullybocus.Mr Aullybocus said the situation was made worse by his client drinking too much, but on the morning he was arrested he had apparently been going to take the girl home.Jailing Stocker on September 8, Judge Thomas Crowther said: "You must be punished and deterred from doing such a thing again and society must be reassured that men of your age who treat girls in this way are appropriately punished.
