A MAN had his jaw broken in a late-night assault outside a Weston kebab shop.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was punched in the face and possibly kicked and stamped on outside Sultans Kebab House in Alexandra Parade at about 12.30am on Sunday morning.

He had his jaw broken and required surgery in hospital.

The police are investigating the incident, and have arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of assault.

He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to contact Avon and Somerset Constabulary on 101.
