Jazz event raises cash for Heroes

MORE than £1,500 was raised for Britain’s modern war heroes through a jazz ball in Loxton.

The Webbington Country Hotel played host to a glitzy bash organised by Bob Reynolds and Diane Wilkins of Burnham Jazz Club on behalf of the Afghan Heroes charity.

Business from Burnham and Cheddar helped contribute towards a successful inaugural event which raised a total of £1,651.
