A WESTON man has shed the pounds as part of a sponsored slim to raise money for his church.
Jeremy Norton, aged 72, has raised more than £1,400 after three months and has already reached his target of losing 22lbs, but says he will keep up the pound-shedding until the end of this month.
Retired sales manager Jeremy, of Nithsdale Road, set himself the challenge to collect money of St John’s Parish Church in Upper Church Road.
He said: “I started doing it because the church was strapped for money, and I wanted to lose weight so it just made sense.
“It’s been very successful so far – I feel much better and my daughter says I have got considerably fewer chins now – I wish I had done it sooner.”
If you want to donate to Jeremy’s sponsored slim, you can contact him through the church.
