ROYAL revellers around Weston and across North Somerset have joined the nation in celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee this weekend.

Patriotic people in towns and villages across the area have united to stage their own events to mark this once-in-a-generation occasion.

Mercury photographers have been out and about grabbing some terrific souvenir pictures at more than 100 events across the district.

We’ll be publishing more than 20 pages of fantastic jubilee pictures in this weekend, and a range of fun picture galleries on this website later this week.

If you want to join in the fun, you can find out exactly what’s happening, where and when during the four-day weekend in this week’s Mercury.

And you can also send us your pictures towards our souvenir edition next week. Email them to newsdesk@westonmercury.co.uk or use our weston.iwitness24.co.uk website section.

There’s a bottle of champagne on offer for the best picture we receive.
