A WOMAN was so grateful for the treatment offered to her in-laws by Weston Hospicecare that she jumped out of a plane for the charity.
Locking Road, Weston resident Julie Wingrove did a 15,000ft skydive for the charity at Dunkeswell airfield in Devon earlier this month after it helped treat her mother-in-law June for breast cancer, and father-in-law Arthur for pancreatic cancer.
After raising £1,100 through the daring stunt, the 47-year-old mother of two said: “It was good to do it and I’m glad I did, but I don’t think I’d try it again. I ended up with lots of bruises from when the parachute opened.
“I’d like to say thanks to everyone who supported me by sponsoring me.”
