A host of Weston bars, restaurants and businesses have come together to support Weston’s Pride event.

Pride returns on July 29 for a colourful day celebrating equality and diversity.

As well as a parade, there will be live music from a number of big names and the organisers of the event told the Mercury the fourth event has been extremely well-supported by the town.

A spokesman for Weston Pride said: “This year sees the return of many of our supporting partners and organisations that have a passion for equality and diversity.

“We have had support and donations from Legends, Loves Café, Cameo, Loft, Vision and even the Asda Foundation.

“The Weston store has given a generous donation and we are all really thankful and excited about the event.”

The event’s parade is scheduled to start at Knightstone Island at 11am, before the fun continues from noon with live acts taking to Grove Park to thrill a colourful Weston crowd.

A full line-up and times for Weston Pride will be in next week’s Mercury.
