DOZENS of visitors to Brent Knoll village fete on Saturday were treated to Japanese-themed martial arts displays.

As well as exhibitions from the Burnham and Highbridge Karate Club, the Chalice Morris Men and Brent Knoll Primary School dancers performed at the day, which raised £2,000 for the village parish hall.

District councillor and organiser Bob Filmer said: “We had a very good day, we were very lucky with the weather and we raised lots for the hall, while the plant stall run by Sue Boss also raised a lot for the church.”
