Kate Ruddock, of Priory Community School, did a tandem skydive at an airfield in Cirencester to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
She said: “My son, Alexander, has Asperger’s syndrome and I have friends with children who are also on the autistic spectrum. Most people say I am mad to do it, but it is just one challenge compared to the many challenges that autistic children and adults have to meet every day.
“This year is the 50th year of the National Autistic Society and the charity does tremendous work.”
