Worle student joins England Rugby’s Centre of Excellence programme

A Worle student could be called up to the England rugby squad.

Worle Community School’s Katie Reynolds is hurtling towards an England call up after being selected for the elite under 18 Centre of Excellence programme with the English team.

The talented year 11 pupils has represented Somerset under 18 girls and is currently undefeated this season at county level.

She has excelled at the school playing football, hockey and rugby.

Katie was recently handed the girls’ sports trophy for her dedication at the school

Making the Centre Of Excellence programme is Katie’s latest success as she hurtles towards joining the international squad.

Principal Jacqui Scott said: “Wow, this is yet another excellent bit of news about Katie and her success. The culture of the excellence programme is team first, excellence, respect and discipline which Katie shows day in, day out at the school.”
