KNITTING needles, endless strands of wool and eager volunteers all made it possible for a charity branch to raise thousands of pounds.

Members of the Weston branch of Cancer Research UK have raised £5,100 from this year’s Knit In.

Committee members got together at Weston Football Club in Winterstoke Road to knit as much as possible to raise money for the organisation, with the help of Weston General Hospital consultant Nick Gallegos.
