Parking may be restricted in several streets in Kewstoke.

North Somerset Council is proposing to prevent on-street parking and unloading between 8am-6pm in five of the village’s roads.

David Murphy, from the council’s highways department, said: “The restriction will facilitate the passage of traffic and help to improve the amenities of the village.”

One restriction would be in Beach Road, from the entrance of the National Trust car park to its junction with Kewstoke Road.

Crookes Lane, from its Beach Road junction to a point 55m north-west of its junction with Lower Norton Lane, is also included.

St Bridges Close and Myrtle Tree Crescent could have restrictions in the whole road, while the order may also apply to Sand Road.

People will have until July 27 to object to the proposals, and can contact the council on 01934 888888 or traffic.orders@n-somerset.gov.uk
