A village scout group hosted a summer fair in Kewstoke at the weekend.

The 1st Kewstoke Scouts organised the fair at the village hall in Crookes Lane on Saturday morning and afternoon.

The hall was filled with craft stalls, and there was games and food for the whole family to enjoy.

The group is part of the Axe Scout District.

It organised the event to raise money for the nine Axe District members who will be attending the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in 2019.

The jamboree typically takes place every four years, and tens of thousands of scouts gather to take part in events and share ideas about how the movement can provide solutions to issues around the world.

The nine Axe District youngsters chosen for the jamboree will go to West Virginia for 12 days.

Some of them hope it will give them the experiences they need to go on to become young leaders.
