Late-night attack victim left with broken jaw

A MAN’S jaw was broken and ankle fractured when he was punched in an alleyway in central Weston in the early hours of August 10.

Police are investigating after the 25-year-old was attacked in the alleyway next to the disused TJ Hughes store, between the High Street to St James Street, at around 4.30am.

Detective constable James Sherwin said: “The victim was left with some very serious injuries including a broken jaw and a fractured ankle. The force of the punch knocked him unconscious.

“He remembers several people being in the alleyway at the time of the incident and I would urge them to come forward. I would also like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the time this assault happened.”
