Police are appealing for witnesses after a 42-year-old man was left with head and hand injuries in Weston-super-Mare town centre last night (Tuesday).
The man was assaulted in Alexandra Parade at around 11pm after it is believed he was struck with an object, and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “His injuries aren’t thought to be life threatening or life changing.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the police with information.”
