WORK due to take place on a set of leaking classrooms at a school appears to have been delayed.North Somerset Council had promised to spend tens of thousands of pounds replacing the art and technology classrooms at Churchill Community School.The rooms leak when it is raining and are freezing cold in winter. The work was due to take place within this financial year but a council report suggests the work will not take place until September 2007.North Somerset Councillor Tony Lake, who is also a school governor, questioned why the date had slipped at a meeting of the authority's executive this week. An officer said he had no answer and would get back to Cllr Lake outside the meeting.
