A FORMER library in Yatton has gone under the hammer.The old library in the High Street in the village, was sold at auction by Bristol based estate agents and auctioneers Morgan Beddoe, on June 20.The property, described by the agents as 'a modern building ideal for a wide range of uses and with huge potential subject to the necessary planning consents being obtained', was offered for sale with a guide price of £100,000.The agent's details also mention the building's grounds would make an excellent car park, subject to planning permission. When the hammer came down the former library, currently owned by North Somerset Council, sold at £175,000.A spokesman for the council said the buyer could not be revealed until August 17 when the transaction will be completed.
