RNLI crews may be used to tough conditions, but volunteers from Burnham were forced to brave strong wind and rain outside the town's lifeboat station to raise £350 on Saturday through a charity car wash.

Matt Davies, Lifeboat operations manager, said: “The guys and girls in our crew worked extremely hard in less than ideal conditions, and I would like to thank the operators of the car wash next door for closing during our fundraising initiative.”
