WESTON Hospicecare's Light Up A Life event has been moved to a new location and popular TV actor, John Challis, will also be attending.
The night, which was postponed from December due to severe weather conditions, has been moved to the Uphill hospice due to high winds.
The event brings together local people to celebrate the lives of loved ones by lighting a flare in remembrance. Everyone is invited to join in at the hospice at Jackson Barstow House, in Thornbury Road and the event will take place at 6.30pm.
Weston Hospicecare’s event organiser said “We are thrilled to be going ahead with this spectacular event in spite of today’s high winds. We hope as many local people as possible will still be able to join us for a stunning display of lights in our own hospice grounds.
“There will also be food and drink, music and a magical atmosphere. Visiting celebrity John Challis and his wife will also be coming along to celebrate with us.”
