Commuters travelling to and from Bristol face huge disruption this evening (Tuesday) after a train broke down.

The line between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol Temple Meads – which includes Nailsea & Backwell, Yatton, Worle and Weston Milton stations – was blocked.

Delays of up to one hour were forecast, but this has been revised to half an hour.

The line was reopened shortly before 7pm by Great Western Railway has warned passengers to expect some residual delays.
