Lions prepare for bank holiday fun

AN ANNUAL charity spectacular will take place in Weston on Bank Holiday Monday.

Worle Lions Club will hold its family fun day at Baytree Recreation Ground in Milton from noon to 4pm on August 27.

The event will be opened by Weston mayor David Hitchin, and feature lots of games and rides, refreshments and a children’s fancy dress parade at 2.15pm, with races planned for 3pm.

There will be arena displays by the Somerset Shadows and Vogue Twirlers and Avon Owls will take their feathered friends to show to visitors.
