Daffy the lamb, who survived a dramatic icy clifftop fall, is the latest orphan being cared for by Secret World Wildlife Rescue.

The tiny Soay lamb, who is only a couple of weeks old, was rescued from Cheddar Gorge by Secret World volunteers earlier this month. It is believed she had fallen from a high ledge and, although she appeared to be physically unharmed, Daffy was distressed and bleating for her mother.

The Secret World team, which is based in East Hunstpill, tried to reunite Daffy with her mum the following day but, sadly, their efforts were in vain.

Daffy is now being cared for by Secret World’s Josie Nott. She said: “Daffy is being bottle fed every four hours and she is also being treated for a wound, which we believe occurred when she fell from the cliff.”
