Sweeping changes to North Somerset Council’s political make-up will mean a whole host of new faces at Weston-super-Mare Town Hall.

The Conservatives lost overall control, with the Independents and Liberal Democrats making big gains, with the trio having 13, 13 and 11 members respectively.

Labour gained two seats, to end with six, while Portishead Independents gained four seats in their first e,ection.

The Green Party also gained a couple, and now control three wards.
