A LOCKING couple who first met on the dancefloor are celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary.
Joan and John Garnham met at Scofields School of Dancing, where they first danced together.
They married at St Nicholas Church in Uphill on October 6, 1955.
The couple, both now aged 83, have two children, Jacqui and Martin, and three granddaughters.
They have lived in Locking since 1964 with their westie dogs, and enjoy reading and gardening.
Daughter Jacqui said: “Thank you both for providing much love and stability for our family all of these years, love from us all.”
