There are delays of around 20-30 minutes on the M5 today, due the large volume of traffic between Burnham-on-Sea and Bristol in both directions.

Traffic is not moving getting onto the motorway at junction 21 (Weston-super-Mare) as queues on the northbound carriageway stretch from junction 20 (Clevedon) back to junction 22 (Burnham-on-Sea).

Travelling southbound is just as bad, with queues on and off from Weston all the way back to junction 15 at the Almondsbury interchange.

Highways England has no reported incidents on the stretch of road, but is putting the delays down to congestion.
