Weston-super-Mare’s Helicopter Museum will be a magical place to be this month.

The attraction, in Locking Moor Road, will host performances by a magician and birds of prey displays every Wednesday during August.

Richard Ballinger will perform from 11am-2pm while Avon Owls will take along a number of birds for visitors to meet and handle.

Museum general manager, Lee Mills, believes it will be a great summer for the museum.

He said: “We are really excited to be hosting these magic at the museum fun days for the first time.

“The museum is such a popular attraction for visitors of all ages and all of the activities planned will give families a whole new way to explore the world’s largest collection of helicopters.”

Interactive open cockpit sessions and realistic flight simulators will also be held throughout August which will allow visitors to sit in a pilot’s seat and experience flying a helicopter for themselves.
