ONE reader catches up on his local news in Iraq by having the Weston & Somerset Mercury delivered.Corporal Rob Pursey has had the paper delivered all over the world while he serves with the 1st Light Infantry.Rob, aged 31, is currently having the Mercury sent to his base in Basra, where he is on his second tour of the country.The former Priory Community School pupil, of Brockley Crescent, Bleadon, has been reading the paper since he was at school.Dad Richard said: "We've always sent him the paper and he loves to be kept up to date on what's going on in his home town. He sent us this picture to prove he was getting it and he says he can't wait to flick through the pages.
