An assault on a man in Weston-super-Mare has prompted a police appeal this afternoon (Friday).
Avon and Somerset Constabulary say the victim was attacked by a man on the Oldmixon estate.
Their spokesman said: “We’re appealing for the public’s help following an assault in North Somerset.
The incident happened in Brompton Road in the Oldmixon area of Weston on October 16 at 11.45pm.
“The male victim was with a female friend walking down the road when they were approached by a man.
“He assaulted the victim, causing eye and nose injuries, which required hospital treatment.
“We’re keen to speak to the man pictured who we believe may be able to help our enquiries.
“We believe he lives in the Weston area.”
Police apologised for the poor quality of the image but hopeful it will lead to someone coming forward.
The man – or anyone recognising him – is asked to call 101 and quote reference 5218232050.
