A WESTON man has been charged with attempted murder.

Thomas Walsh, of Alma Street, has also been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 56-year-old appeared at North Somerset Courthouse in St Georges last week, was remanded in custody, and is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court tomorrow (Fri).

His arrest follows an incident at the Charles Dickens pub in Orchard Place, Weston, on October 19.

A man who suffered head injuries was taken to Weston General Hospital but was later transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.
