A 39-year-old man is to appear in court after being charged with a burglary in Burnham.

Adam Harding, in Rosewood Close, will appear before Taunton Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).

The charge relates to a burglary of a house in Hooper Close on Sunday.

Chief Inspector Lisa Simpson said: “Burglary is a force priority and we always take reports seriously.

“I can’t stress enough how important it is for people to contact us if they are burgled, witness a burglary or even if they see anything suspicious in their neighbourhood.

“The public are our eyes and ears and play a vital role in helping us apprehend those involved in such criminality.”
