A MAN from Weston died after falling from the roof of a building in Spain.

An inquest was held on Thursday into the death of 46-year-old Jason Hedges on February 8 last year.

The inquest, at Flax Bourton Coroner’s Court, was told Mr Hedges had been born in Weston but had moved to Spain where he lived full-time.

He was found by two patrolling policemen after he fell from the derelict building in Seville.

His body was flown back to Britain, and a post-mortem was carried out at Flax Bourton Mortuary where his mother, who lives in Worle, identified his body.

Following the post-mortem, a fracture at the base of his skull was listed as the cause of death.

Assistant deputy coroner Dr Simon Fox recorded a verdict of accidental death.
