Man hospitalised after assault in town

A MAN was hospitalised after being punched and knocked to the floor in Weston.

A MAN was hospitalised after being punched and knocked to the floor in Weston.

At about 11.15am on January 19 the man was in High Street outside the Gold Market when he was assaulted.

The victim, a 44-year-old man, had serious head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
