Ambulance crews attended the accident


A MAN in his 50s was taken to hospital with bleeding from his head after being involved in a car accident in Weston this afternoon (Mon).

Just before 2pm, the ambulance service received a 999 call about the accident in Upper Bristol Road near the Windsor Castle Inn.

The man, a pedestrian, was treated in the road by rapid response crews from Great Western Ambulance Service for a head injury which was bleeding as well as a potential spinal injury.

An ambulance then took him to Weston General Hospital.

A spokesman for the service said there was currently no indication how serious his injuries are.
