Driver suffered head injuries after collision in Hewish

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after a collision on the A370 near Hewish last night (Sunday).
The incident happened on Bristol Road at 7pm when two cars collided and one vehicle ended up on its side.
Fire crews from Weston and Yatton attended and the driver of one car was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A pub sign was also damaged in the incident and the road was closed until just before 8pm while crews cleared the carriageway.
