Man rescued after quad bike crash

FIRE crews were called out this morning (Fri) to rescue a man after an accident with a quad bike.

Two engines from Burnham and a rescue tender from Glastonbury arrived at New Road in East Huntspill at 9.16am.

When they arrived the staff found the man in a ditch. He was injured but not trapped after the accident with the vehicle.

The crews then worked with the ambulance service and firefighters rescued the man using dry suits and a spine board.
