A 22-year-old had to be taken to hospital after being stabbed outside a bar.

The victim was stabbed in the chest following an assault in Brean.

The incident took place outside Krackers Bar, in South Road, at about 2am on September 17.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has this lunchtime (Tuesday) issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released under investigation.

A police spokesman said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who might have seen the incident take place – Krackers was still busy at that time.

“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 5217212412.”

The injured man was admitted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment but was released later that same day.
