Magistrates heard how Daniel Warren broke into buildings at a clay pigeon shooting club in Wick St Lawrence on August 12.

The 19-year-old of Masefield House in Chaucer Road, Weston, appeared at North Somerset Courthouse in St Georges on October 10.

It was revealed he stole items including a digital camera, electric tools, a strimmer and the keys to all buildings on the site.

The total cost of the items taken was £3,947.

Warren was arrested when police stopped the silver Ford Focus he was driving in Worle the next day.

Officers searched the car and found three items including a jigsaw tool.

It was then confirmed they had been stolen from the shooting club the previous day.

For the two counts of burglary, Warren was also ordered to pay £125 in compensation, which would cover the excess on the shooting club's insurance.
