Man up to his knees in mud rescued

EMERGENCY services raced to Weston-super-Mare’s seafront to rescue someone stuck in the mud this afternoon (Friday).

The Coastguard, North Somerset Council and the ambulance service were on the beach between the Grand Pier and Knightstone Island just before 3pm this afternoon.

The man was stuck in the mud up to his knees.

The Coastguard confirmed he has been rescued and is unharmed.
