Man wanted after station assault

BRITISH Transport Police are on the hunt for a man they need to speak to following an incident at Weston Railway Station.

Officers have today (Thurs) released CCTV images of a man they believe will have information to assist their investigation.

The incident took place at about 12.40pm on Saturday.

PC Hywel Davies said: “A member of rail staff was checking tickets at the station when a male passenger tried to push past him.

“The member of staff was then pushed hard in the chest twice by the passenger who it is believed did not have a ticket.

“The passenger was then held back by another man who is thought to have been travelling with him. The pair then exited the station by jumping over a fence.

“Enquiries have been ongoing to trace the man involved but to no avail.”
