PORTISHEAD mum Jenny Ornellas returned from America clutching her medal after completing the New York Marathon in just over four hours this week. Last year Jenny who has nine-year-old twins Alex and Harry, decided she wanted to do something to mark her imminent fortieth birthday in August of this year. She also wanted to make it an occasion when she could raise some money for the Brain Tumour Society in memory of her late husband who died of a brain tumour four years ago. Jenny said "I had never really run before and so I joined Portishead Running Club earlier this year to get fit enough to run the marathon. "I was chuffed to bits to complete in four hours 57 seconds."I achieved what I set out to do but I don't think I'll be doing it again!" Jenny ran the marathon with her sister Jo aged 44 from Tiverton.* Jenny Ornellas and her sister Jo Mildren are pictured with Alex and Harry.
