Masons hand over £2,800 to charity

THE Freemasons has presented Weston Hospicecare with two cheques worth £2,800.

Gill Young, the charity’s chief executive, was handed £2,500 on behalf of the Freemasons Grand Charity and £300 on behalf of the Somerset Province following a grand variety show.

She said: “We are so grateful for this contribution towards the £3 million a year running cost of the hospice.

“It’s fantastic that the hospice is so well thought of by organisations such as the Freemasons - their support is invaluable to us.”
