Mass sleep out to be held in Weston-super-Mare

PUBLISHED: 18:00 18 February 2018

YMCA Somerset Coast is calling on people to come together and sleep rough for one night in March to support homeless young people.

The local youth charity will host a Sleep Easy fundraising event in Weston on March 2 to raise money and awareness of youth homelessness.

Hundreds of supporters are expected to sleep out all over the country to raise funds to help the YMCA continue to support young people.

This is the second Sleep Easy event to be hosted in Somerset, with the first being held in Bridgwater last year, which raised more than £1,000.

Money brought in has helped YMCA Somerset Coast provide 235 beds for young people, adults and families as well as offering opportunities for young people across housing and support, social enterprises, health and wellbeing, outdoor activities and youth work.
