A PUBLIC inquiry into whether a controversial massage parlour should stay open will be held this week

A PUBLIC inquiry into whether a controversial massage parlour should stay open will be held this week.A Government inspector will look again at whether Emmanuelle's in Baker Street, Weston, should be allowed to operate as a massage parlour at an inquiry to be held at The Blakehay theatre in Wadham Street tomorrow (Wed). The owners first applied to change the use of the building from a dog grooming parlour to a massage parlour in the summer last year.North Somerset Council threw the application out but the owners appealed against the decision, forcing an inquiry. The inspector will examine evidence on both sides before coming to a decision at a later date. When North Somerset Council turned the application down it said it was unsuitable, inappropriate and incompatible with the surrounding area and causing a disturbance to residents because of the hours that most visits take place. The inquiry is due to start at 10am.
