The Mayor and Mayoress of Weston-super-Mare visited a support centre for the town’s homeless people.

Councillor Alan Peak and his wife Jackie dropped in to Somewhere To Go, in Waterloo Street, for a cup of tea and a chat with some of the people who use the centre.

There are approximately 30 people sleeping rough in Weston and, nearing the end of his term as mayor, Cllr Peak took the opportunity to meet some of them. He said: “The centre provides a wonderful opportunity for them to come and use the facilities, eat a good meal and have help from organisations.”
