CONFUSION arose when an ambulance was called to help a man who collapsed – in the waiting room at Weston General Hospital.

Onlookers watched as the crew responded to a call for help from nurses in the Uphill hospital’s main reception on Monday afternoon.

Wendy Maggs, who saw the situation unfold, said she heard the ambulance driver asking why they had been called to the incident. The 51-year-old added: “The drivers said they were going to complain. It was very bizarre.”
