A PINT sized performer from Nailsea has been chosen for a special role in a leading musical.Nine-year-old Megan Bell, who is a member of the Jenny Nelms School of Dance, has been chosen as one of three youngsters to play the role of Jemima in the hit musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.She was chosen out of 400 hopefuls at the auditions, which were held in Bristol where the show will run at The Hippodrome from March 9 until June 6.Megan, a pupil at Golden Valley School, is now preparing to start rehearsals at the end of January.And she can expect a few very proud faces in the audience in the form of professional footballer dad Micky who plays for Cheltenham, mum Jane, sister Penny, aged 12, and four-year-old brother Sam.Mum Jane, a radiographer at Bristol Children's Hospital, said: "Megan has been a member of the Jenny Nelms School of Dance since she was two. She has always loved dancing and sings a lot around the house and is always involved in shows and productions at school."She is really excited about being Jemima and has been busy reading her script and we even have the CD in the car."Megan Bell is pictured (centre) with members of her dance class.
