MEMORIES of Axbridge are being recorded as part of a project to document an oral history of the town.Voices of Axbridge is a new project to keep track of current events and to preserve the recent past by recording the memories of residents. One of the organisers Wendy Mace said: "We obviously have written accounts of the town's history but we thought it was a good idea to record people's memories as well. It adds a personal touch and is something future generations can enjoy."If you would like to take part or know anyone who has a story to tell, call Harry on 01934 732670 or Paul on 733373. * Pictured: Wendy Mace, interviewing the first lady Mayor of Axbridge, Priscilla Chard.
