A North Somerset medical practice is set to merge with a doctor’s surgery, promising ‘robust and sustainable’ care.

Mendip Vale Medical Practice – which has outposts in Langford, Congresbury, Yatton, St Georges and Wrington – is exploring the possibility of merging with Clevedon’s Sunnyside Surgery.

Mendip Vale and Sunnyside are ‘delighted’ by the prospect of joining forces, hoping it will offer more choice and a wider range of services to patients.

A spokesman said: “The demands and pressures on GP practices are continuing to increase, and we are reviewing how we best adapt to meet the needs of patients.

“Working together as a larger group will put us in a more sustainable position to deliver safe and effective care.

“It is business as usual for our patients. All patients from both surgeries will continue to access our services in the same way as they do now.”
