Mercury readers react to shops planned for Dolphin Square - what shops would you like?

It has finally been confirmed that shops and businesses will be built beneath close to 200 luxury flats at Weston's Dolphin Square.
The news was revealed by the Mercury following uncertainty about whether shops would be part of the plans.
The news prompted Mercury readers to have their say on the development and suggest which shops they would like to see.
Ben Price reacted on Facebook to the prospect of 180 luxury flats in the town centre.
The flats will be built across the town centre, in the area between Dolphin Square and the Premier Inn, in Beach Road, the former Sands nightclub and the Oxford Corner café.
He said: “Firstly, get the idea of flats out of the picture. Who is going to want to live next to a multi-complex with a cinema and a hotel blocking the view of the seafront?
“They should get a decent bowling alley in and a few shops.”
However, Aaron Stone wanted to focus on shops which could bring increased revenue to the town and thought of stores which could be in the town centre, as well as Dolphin Square.
He added: “Any shop which will attract people to the place.
“A Primark in either the old BHS or TJ Hughes buildings would bring a lot of shoppers, regardless of what people think of the shop itself.
“Surely that is all that matters? Increased footfall means more shops, which means more investment.”
Charlotte Rowley then made the point that it may be out of North Somerset Council’s control as to which shops make their way to the town.
She said: “The trouble is the shops will only opt in if they think they can make a profit.
“It is not like the council can just tell Primark or Debenhams Weston wants them – they might not want Weston.”
Ema Wilson reacted to the post by saying: “We seriously need some men’s clothing shops.
“There is nothing for guys here other than Marks & Spencer and a small Burton, which is not a huge selection.”
